Software

Information about software capable of reading the COBE FITS binary tables can be found on the COBE Home Page under " General Information. " Requesters are urged to use the IDL analysis software designed specifically to analyze COBE data.

Information

DMR
This CD-Recordable disc contains the Differential Microwave Radiometer (DMR) Project Data Sets (PDS), which consist of Sky Maps and Pixelized Differential Data, Analyzed Science Data Sets (ASDS), and the DMR Explanatory Supplement. All the data are in FITS binary tables. The Explanatory Supplement describes the DMR instrument and the data products. Brief descriptions of the DMR data products can be found at http://lambda.gsfc.nasa.gov/product/cobe/dmr_products.cfm.

DIRBE
All of the COBE Diffuse Infrared Background Experiment (DIRBE) data are available on CD-Recordables. Brief descriptions of the DIRBE data products can be found at http://lambda.gsfc.nasa.gov/product/cobe/dirbe_products.cfm. With very few exceptions, the data are presented in FITS binary tables.
