Jupiter's clouds and the Great Red Spot
Voyager 2 image of Jupiter and the Great Red Spot. To the lower left of the
Red Spot lies one of the three white ovals. Note the complex patterns of
clouds associated with these features. The Red Spot is approximately
12,000 km from top to bottom, and the smallest features which can be resolved
in this image are about 170 km in size. North is at about 11:00.
