Image pair showing circulation around brown spot on Saturn

Saturn
Voyager 2 image showing circulation around a large brown spot in Saturn's atmosphere. The first image was taken on 23 August 1981 from 2.7 million km and the second 10 hours 15 minutes later 24 August from 2.3 million km. Both images were taken through the green filter. Clouds at the edge of the spot show the circulation to be counterclockwise, which is anticyclonic for this northern hemisphere feature. The upper frame is about 20,000 km across and the lower about 17,000. The resolution is about 25 km/pixel. (Voyager 2, P-23938)
