Apollo 12 astronaut Charles "Pete" Conrad standing next to the Apollo lunar hand tools carrier on the second moonwalk EVA. The gnomon can be seen at the center of the frame. Conrad is holding a core tube. A small crater can be seen at left. This photograph was taken by Alan Bean near Surveyor crater, immediately before the astronauts visited the Surveyor 3 lander.
