Viking 1 Orbiter view of the limb of the Martian moon Phobos. The limb runs approximately along 40 N latitude. North is at 1:00 and the image is about 10 km across. This image gives a good view of Phobos' irregular surface, centered at about 10 N, 230 W. This image was taken on 26 February 1977 from a distance of 350 km. (Viking Orbiter 250A13)
