This set of level II derived geophysical parameters was supplied in the Miami DSP format (FM4) by the CZCS Nimbus Experiment Team (NET) on 12-in., 3.2-gigabyte Sony WORM optical disks. It contains phytoplankton pigment concentrations (CHLOR), diffuse attenuation coefficient (k), normalized water-leaving radiances (NLW 440, NLW 520, NLW 550), and aerosol radiance at 670 nm (LA670) on a scene-by-scene basis at 4-km resolution. The scenes contain 512 pixels by 256 lines each and have a data volume of approximately 0.8 megabyte per scene. Data are available in either Optical or magnetic media and can be browsed through an online system before ordering. For users who do not have the DSP system, a set of documentation describing the image file format and a package of conversion routines will be provided.
