Lunar Surface Photography

Description

This data set consists of 10.2 x 12.7-cm (4- x 5-in) photographic negatives from the Zond 6, 7, and 8 missions for which indexes (data sets -02A) for Zonds 7 and 8 were supplied by the USSR. The photography is generally good. A photometric scale was printed in the lower portion of the photo during printing for light intensity calibration. The photos appear to be cropped portions of the frames listed in the index and only a fraction of the indexed frames are represented by photographs. There were no identifications on the photos, therefore they have been indexed by NSSDC, using an NSSDC-generated accession number. The NSSDC index identifies features and U.S. selenographic coordinates for the photos. The photographs should be requested by the NSSDC-generated accession number.
