This data set contains Earth-based imaging of comet 9P/Tempel 1 by the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea, Hawaii in support of the Deep Impact mission. The data cover the period from 24 June 2005 to 17 July 2005, the Deep Impact encounter occurred on 4 July 2005. These data consist of raw near-IR images obtained with the SpeX instrument, including images of Tempel 1 as well as flat field and dark images for processing and calibration. The images are in FITS format with detached PDS labels. This is PDS ID DI/EAR-C-I0046-2-IRTF-NIRIMG-TMPL1-V1.0 on volume DISA_0008. The data are available online at:
