These investigator-supplied, selected magnetometer data for field modeling are on binary magnetic tape created on an IBM 360 computer. The data consist of scalar and vector component data for 15 magnetically quiet days (November 5, 1979, to April 20, 1980), corrected for attitude biases and external magnetic fields. The data for each day are further selected from specified time intervals judged to be undisturbed. These data are identified with a flag set to the value 2. Data for which the flag is set to zero are either vector component data for which no fine-attitude information was available, or data which were outside of the specified time intervals. The scalar data are no longer independent data, but are calculated from the vector component data after corrections are applied. The external-field and attitude-correction values were obtained by least-squares fitting a parametric magnetic-field model to the fine-attitude data for the given day. Data for each day are written on a separate file. For additional information see references given under NSSDC ID 79-094A-02A.
