This data set is used to improve empirical models of the atmosphere, its temperature, composition, and how it changes with time of day, and to study the altitude and solar activity exchanges. The data set consists of 6 file types: 3 types generated by the Navigation Team (NAV Solution Page (SOLPG), Orbit Propagation and Timing Geometry File (OPTG), and Orbit Summary File); 1 type generated by the Mission Control Team (DAD Channelized Telemetry (*.drf) files via the EZDAD software); and 2 types generated by the Spacecraft Team (Aerobraking Quaternion Polynomial Coefficient and Periapsis Timetable). It contains aerodynamic torque or reaction wheel data, orbital elements and decay data, and estimates of density as a function of altitude and density of periapsis. There is also one tape containing data from the Windmill experiment performed in September 1994 and a tape containing termination data for Magellan from 11 and 12 October 1994.
