Brasilsat-B2 was a Brazilian geostationary communications spacecraft that was launched by an Ariane rocket from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana. After parking at 65 W longitude, the 1,780 kg spacecraft provided telephone, television, and data transmission services to Brazil and its southern neighbors by means of 24 C-band and several X-band transponders.
