USA 176, also known as DSP 22, is an American, geostationary military surveillance satellite that was launched from Cape Canaveral by a Titan 4B rocket at 18:50 UT on 14 February 2004. Like all the 21 earlier DSPs, the 2.4 tonne satellite carries infrared detectors to monitor rocket launches and nuclear explosions. The parking longitude of a DSP is rarely revealed.
