Soyuz TMA-11M was launched atop a Soyuz FG rocket blasting off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 4:14 UTC, being delivered to Low Earth Orbit less than nine minutes after liftoff, enabling Soyuz TMA-11M to start its four-orbit Rendezvous with ISS. The spacecraft completed a flawless Rendezvous with docking at 10:27 UTC, marking the arrival of Mikhail Tyurin, Koichi Wakata and Rick Mastracchio at their home in space for the next six months. Traveling with them is the 2014 Sochi Olympic Torch, that will complete a four-day space flight highlighted by a spacewalk that will take place on Saturday to acquire photos and video of the torch flying high above the Earth. It will return with the crew of Soyuz TMA-09M that will land aboard the spacecraft early on Monday (UTC).
