NSSDCA ID: SSS-B
SSS-B (Small Scientific Satellite) is the second in a series of four approximately one hundred pound satellites designed to perform a variety of missions within the magnetosphere and in nearly interplanetary space. Each of the satellites will have the capability for complete in-flight control of the data format through the use of an on-board set of stored program instructions. These instructions govern the collection of data and are reprogrammable via ground command. Development of this spacecraft is on hold.
