NSSDCA ID: THEMIS-GB
As part of the THEMIS satellite mission ground observatories have been set up in the Northern US and Canada to record the white-light and magnetic signatures of sub-storms and their effect on the auroral region. All-sky Imagers (ASI) and Fluxgate magnetometers were installed at more than 20 sites covering the Northern American sector of the auroral oval region. The ASI images will be combined into a single image (mosaic) for the whole region.
