Formats Evolution Process (FEP) - Participation Guidelines

You can participate in the Formats Evolution Process by:

  • Reporting your experience, in template form, as a user or developer of formats
  • Contributing white papers (in text or MS Word format) on a relevant topic within a forum
  • Contributing comments on existing template descriptions, white papers, or other comments

Completed templates and white papers may be submitted via the FEP Webmaster at: John.Garrett@gsfc.nasa.gov with copy to Don.Sawyer@gsfc.nasa.gov for posting on the FEP Discussion Forums Overview Page. White papers must identify the most relevant forum.

Authors with format experience should try to use one of the templates before submitting a white paper. This will facilitate comparison of the Author's experiences and insights with that of others.

Comments on completed templates, white papers, and other comments may be submitted using our HyperNews FEP Discussion Forum. The discussion forum is available to all for reading. However we do require that individuals who wish to publish a message become members of the discussion forum. At this time, membership in the discussion forum is open to anyone who is willing to provide identification information.
