Meeting Room:

The meeting on June 22-23 will take place in Main Auditorium. Lecture Rooms will be used during the breakout sessions on June 24-26.

Security:

You will not have to sign in or get a badge. You may proceed directly down the stairs to the registration table and the meeting room. You should have pre- registered as discussed above.

Registration Fee:

The fee for the first section only (June 22-23) of this workshop is $100, if paid by June 8, 1998 (otherwise, $150). This fee includes lunch and breaks on June 22-23 and the Reception the evening of the 23rd.

The fee for attending both the first section and the second section (June 24-26) of this workshop is $200, if paid by June 8, 1998 (otherwise, $250). This fee include lunch and breaks June 22-26, the Reception, and the Banquet/Dinner June 24th.

Parking:

There is no parking available at NARA on June 22-23, and is extremely limited on June 24-26. Parking space has been arranged at the University of Maryland (see directions below) on June 22-23, and shuttle service will be provided to/from NARA on those dates (see schedule below). This is of primary concern to those who are commuting locally. For those not from the local area, we recommend that you stay at the Holiday Inn at College Park (see details below) and use their shuttle. [Please make arrangements with the hotel for shuttle service.] If you are using the metro, you can get off at the Prince Georges Plaza stop, and take the R3 bus, which leaves at 11 AM, 12 PM and 1 PM for June 22 or for June 23-26, 8 AM, 8:35 AM and 9:02 AM; it takes about 11 minutes to get to Archives II, from that stop.

Directions to Parking at the University of Maryland on June 22-23.

From the Holiday Inn College Park:

  1. Rte. 1 South, Baltimore Blvd.
  2. Make a right turn at University Boulevard (Rte. 193). Follow to Stadium Drive.
  3. Turn left onto Stadium Drive.
  4. Go around the circle and turn at first right. Go straight ahead to parking lot 1B. Park in the locations nearest the stadium. At the parking area, you will be provided with a pass to put on your dash board.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495/I-95):

  1. Exit 25 south (Rte. 1, Baltimore Blvd.)
  2. Make a right turn at University Boulevard (Rte. 193). Follow to Stadium Drive.
  3. Turn left onto Stadium Drive.
  4. Go around the circle and turn at first right. Go straight ahead to parking lot 1B. Park in the locations nearest the stadium. At the parking area, you will be provided with a pass to put on your dash board.
  1. Exit 28 (New Hampshire Ave.)
  2. Make a left at Adelphi Road (second traffic light)
  3. Turn left on Metzerott Road. Follow to University Blvd (Rt 193). Turn right onto Rt 193.
  4. Follow to Stadium drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive.
  5. Go around the circle and turn at first right. Go straight ahead to parking lot 1B. Park in the locations nearest the stadium. At the parking area, you will be provided with a pass to put on your dash board.

From the Baltimore-Washington Parkway:

  1. Exit at Greenbelt Road (Rte. 193) toward College Park
  2. Continue on Greenbelt Road (which becomes University Boulevard) to Stadium Drive. Turn left onto Stadium Drive.
  3. Go around the circle and turn at first right. Go straight ahead to parking lot 1B. Park in the locations nearest the stadium. At the parking area, you will be provided with a pass to put on your dash board.

Bus Schedule - University of Maryland to/from NARA

June 22 - 1100 - 1300 - Every 15 minutes
	  1700 - 1900 - Every 30 minutes

June 23 - 0830 - 0930 - Every 15 minutes
	  1700 - 1800 - Every 15 minutes

Directions to the National Archives - Center for Electronic Records on June 24-26.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495/I-95):

  1. Exit 25 south (Rte. 1, Baltimore Blvd.)
  2. Make a right turn at University Boulevard (Rte. 193). Follow to Metzerott Road.
  3. Turn right on Metzerott Road.
  4. Turn left on Adelphi Road.
  5. Archives II entrance will be on the left just after you turn.

  3. Follow to Archives II entrance on the left just past Metzerott Road.
  1. Exit 29 east (Rte. 193, University Blvd.)
  2. Exit will be marked Langley Park/College Park. Follow to Adelphi Road.
  3. Turn left on Adelphi Road and
  4. follow to Archives II entrance on the right.

From the Baltimore-Washington Parkway:

  1. Exit at Greenbelt Road (Rte. 193) toward College Park
  2. Continue on Greenbelt Road (which becomes University Boulevard) to Metzerott Road.
  3. Turn right on Metzerott Road.
  4. Turn left on Adelphi Road.
  5. Archives II entrance will be on the left just after you turn.

Directions to Hotel

From Dulles International Airport:

Take the Dulles Airport Access road to I495 (Capitol Beltway) East towards Baltimore. Follow approximately 35-40 miles to Exit 25 Route 1 (Baltimore Ave) towards Laurel. The hotel will be opposite you as you exit off the beltway. Make your first left turn into the parking lot.

From Baltimore-Washinton International (BWI):

Take Route 495 West out of airport and follow signs for I-295 South (Baltimore-Washinton Parkway) towards Washington, DC. Follow I-295 South to I-495 (Capitol Beltway - which is the same as I95 North) towards Silver Spring. Follow to Exit 25A, Route 1 towards Laurel. The hotel will be opposite you as you exit off the beltway. Make your first left turn into the parking lot.

From Washington National Airport:

Follow signs for Route 1 South towards Alexandria out of the airport. Follow Route 1 to I-495 North. This will put you on I-495 (Capitol Beltway) and I-95 towards Baltimore. Stay on I-95/I-495 North about 25 miles to Exit 25A, Route 1 (Baltimore Ave) towards Laurel. The hotel will be opposite you as you exit off the beltway. Make your first left turn into the parking lot.
