HST will make its third observations of Chiron in the UV on 16 March. Our team would again appreciate anyone who can obtain good-S/N CCD images of Chiron in B, V, R, and/or I filters to establish its level of activity and the visible-wavelength morphology of its coma during the period 15-17 March. By the way, HST's January spectroscopy sequence turned out very well. We have a UV lightcurve, a UV albedo spectrum, and a good dataset to search for UV emission features! The February-to-May observations HST is now engaged in obtaining should tell us about Chiron's variability, and will, Chiron-willing, catch an outburst in action. Alan Stern
