Brazos County Arboretum Moon Tree

A sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) was planted at the Brazos County Arboretum on 21 March 1976. It died for unknown reasons shortly after it was planted. The article on the planting above is from the March 18, 1976 issue of the Bryan-College Station "Eagle". Many of the original trees are still on the 17-acre site, but it is no longer maintained. Below is a copy of the guidebook and map of the Arboretum, although the Moon Tree is not listed.
