This Moon sycamore (platanus occidentalis) is located on the lawn in front of the administration building in a grove of trees planted for the colleges of the University of Idaho. This tree was planted in honor of the College of Mines and Earth Resources.

The tree is located at 46 deg 43.603 min N; 117 deg 0.575 min W
