Genesis

Genesis is a NASA Discovery sample return mission scheduled for launch in July 2001. The primary objective of the Genesis mission is to collect samples of solar wind particles and return them to Earth. Genesis will expose collectors to the solar wind from the L1 point and return the solar wind samples in a sealed capsule in June 2004.
