IDN in a Tough Environment: The Setting of the GCMD in Argentina

The Argentine IDN cooperating node was set in March 1994 with the 
assistance of the NASA GCMD Goddard office. In the beginning it was 
connected to INTERNET  by means of a limited X.25 line. After September 
1994, with the help of NASA  Science Internet, a better connection was 
obtained.  A report of local DIFs collection is given along with a relation 
of the difficulties encountered in a very hard environment.  Finally, 
present status is reported and future plans are detailed.
