The Space Physics Data System (SPDS) is a grass-roots effort sponsored by the
NASA Space Physics Division to be a focus and catalyst for the preservation and
improved access to important data in the four space physics disciplines (i.e.
Cosmic/Heliospheric, ITM, Magnetospheric and Solar). This combined poster
presentation and demonstration will highlight the use of WWW as a
cost-effective joining technology among various distributed data sources and
data services. Specific capabilities to be shown should include a new nearline
ordering interface for space physics data at NSSDC (including the newly public
ISTP Key Parameters) and the prototype CDAWeb (Coordinated Data Analysis
[Workshop] Web) display and coordinated analysis system. CDAWeb enables easy
WWW access to multi-instrument, multi-mission data that use Common Data Format
(CDF) and follow the ISTP/IACG implementation guidelines. The MOLD
(Magnetospheric Online Data) service and many other new/interesting SPDS
capabilities will also be shown or will be available to be shown on demand.

The SPDS and information about SPDS is accessible via WWW at the URL
http://spds.nasa.gov/ or via use of the no-password account SPDS at
nssdca.gsfc.nasa.gov.
