CDB 9 . . . 5 Event Intervals in 1986
April 1, 1986
April 2-3
May 3
May 4
May 8
These magnetospheric, ground, and solar wind data were obtained during the 1986 PROMIS (Polar Regions Outer Magnetosphere International Study) coordinated observing campaign. The database supports study of magnetic conjugacy and global substorm dynamics. Data are from AMPTE/CCE, AMPTE/IRM, DE-1, GMS-3, GOES-5, GOES-6, IMP-8, ISEE-1, ISEE-2,SCATHA, Viking (Sweden), 82-019A, 84-037A, 84-129A, and many ground stations. This database is available on-line on the NSSDC VAX/VMS system. A CDAW 9 summary catalog tells the spacecraft, experiments, and ground stations that contributed data to CDAW 9, and has links to the detailed descriptive list of parameters from each instrument.

CDB 8 . . . 8 Event Intervals in 1983
January 28, 1983
January 29
March 22, 25, 26
April 13
June 4, 27-28
These data were assembled to study the dynamics of the magnetospheric tail as related to substorms, taking advantage of intervals when ISEE-3 was in the far magnetotail and the DE-1 auroral imager was active. Some of the results were published in a series of papers that appeared in J. Geophys. Res. 94 (A11) 1989. Data are from DE-2, GMS-2, GOES-2, GOES-5, IMP-8, ISEE-1, ISEE-2, Scatha, 77-007A, 81-025A, 82-019A, and many ground stations. This database is available on-line on the NSSDC VAX/VMS system. A CDAW 8 summary catalog tells the spacecraft, experiments, and ground stations that contributed data to CDAW 8, and has links to the detailed descriptive list of parameters from each instrument.

CDB 7 . . . 2 Event Intervals in 1979, 1980
April 24, 1979
May 11, 1980
This database is for a study of the response of the magnetotail to substorm expansive phase activity. Microfilm copies are available of all plots generated during the workshop. Individual parameters were extracted from the original system and are accessible on-line on the NSSDC VAX/VMS system. A CDAW 6 & 7 summary catalog tells the spacecraft, experiments, and ground stations that contributed data to CDAW 6 and 7, and has links to the detailed descriptive list of parameters from each instrument.

CDB 6 . . . 2 Event Intervals in 1979
March 22, 1979
March 31 - April 1, 1979
This database was constructed for studies of energy transfer in near-Earth space. Results were published in a series of papers that appeared in J. Geophys. Res. 90 (A2) 1985.

CDB 5
No CDAW using this data base has been held or is planned.

CDB 4 . . . 8 Event Intervals in 1977-1979
November 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 20, 1977
September 8, 1978
January 7, 1979
These are magnetopause encounter data, from ISEE-1 and -2. Microfilm copies are available of all plots generated during the workshop.

CDB 3 . . . 10 Event Intervals in 1977-1978
November 7, 10, 15-16, 30, 1977
December 5, 6-10, 18, 21, 24, 1977
January 1, 1978
These are bowshock data, from ISEE-1 and -2. Microfilm copies are available of all plots generated during the workshop.

CDB 2 . . . 1 Event Interval in 1977
July 28-29, 1977
These are substorm data from a wide selection of satellites and ground stations. Results were published in a series of papers that appeared in J. Geophys. Res. 87 (A8) 1982. Microfilm copies are available of all plots generated during the workshop.

CDB 1 . . . 2 Event Intervals in 1977
December 1-2, 11-12, 1977
These are substorm data from a wide selection of satellites and ground stations. Microfilm copies are available of all plots generated during the workshop.

A CDAW / NACS Users Guide and catalogs of the specific parameters contained in the CDAW 6, 7, 8, and 9 data bases are available on-line in the NSSDCA anonymous account. Select here for a directory.

These catalogs and users guides, plus catalogs of CDBs 1 through 5 (which exist only on paper), are also available from:
