SPACEWARN Bulletin Number 495

Russian Global Navigational (Positioning) Spacecraft, GLONASS constellation. (SPACEWARN requests updates/additions from readers to this list. "*" marked entries are updates or additions to the list. Spacewarn Bulletin thanks Richard Langley of University of New Brunswick for updates to this issue.)

All GLONASS spacecraft are in the general COSMOS series; GLONASS 1 through 48, 50, 52, 53, 58, and 59 are inoperational or not in service. The COSMOS numbers may occasionally differ from the numbers associated in Russia. The RAAN changes by about 0.1 deg/month.

The operating frequency in MHz is computed from the channel number K. Frequency (MHz) = 1602.0 + 0.5625K, and L2 = 1246.0 + 0.4375K.
