Prometheus (1980S27) and part of the F-ring against the
background of Saturn. The A-ring and Encke gap are also
visible at upper left. Prometheus orbits at a distance
of 139,350 km from Saturn and is about 40 by 70 km in size.
The satellite's brightness suggests it is an icy body like
the larger satellites and ring particles.
