Cyclonic eddy near Ilha de Madeira in the Atlantic on Earth

Earth
Gemini 10 image of a cyclonic eddy in the stratocumulus clouds near the Ilha de Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean. The eddy is visible at right, and the island is the tiny dark spot just to the left of it. The island is 55 km (35 miles) long and rises over 1.8 km (6000 feet) above sea level, obstructing the northeasterly wind and causing eddies to form. The view is looking to the east.
