Ganymede - Voyager 2
Close-up of Nipper Sulcus region on Jupiter's moon Ganymede
Close-up view of the Nipper Sulcus region of the Galilean satellite
Ganymede as imaged by Voyager 2. This region exhibits complex sets
of grooves which intersect at various angles and imply a very complicated
tectonic history. The boundary between the dark and light terrain can
be seen towards the bottom part of the frame. The frame is about 550 km
across and is centered at 58 N, 200 W. The image was taken from
175,000 km and north is up.
