Oblique view of Archimedes crater taken by the Apollo 15 metric camera. Archimedes, at left, is 82 km in diameter and centered at 29.7 N, 4 W. The crater floor is filled with smooth mare material and the ejecta blanket is below it. To the right is Autolycus. North is at 11:30. Part of the spacecraft is in the frame at right.
