Fossey Crater, Venus from cycle 1

Magellan radar image of Fossey crater on Venus. This 30 km diameter impact crater shows downslope run-out of material to the north (up) and east. The gap in the ejecta blanket at about 8:00 indicates that the impact came from this direction. This same image was taken in mapping cycle 2 (F00N189;201). (Magellan F-MIDR 00N189;1,framelet 05)
