Structure in Jupiter's Rings

This Voyager 2 image taken while the spacecraft was in Jupiter's shadow, looking back towards the rings from 1.5 million km. The rings are brightly lit by the forward scattered light from the Sun, indicating that they are composed of very small particles. Some radial structure can be seen in the rings. The main ring is about 125,000 km in diameter and north is at about 1:00. (Voyager 2, 0206J2+001)
