Clear filter image of the "Scooter" on Neptune from 3.3 million km

Image of the "Scooter" on Neptune taken through the clear filter of the narrow angle camera on Voyager 2. The image was taken from approximately 3.3 million km. The Scooter is the bright, banded cloud feature just below and left of center. The feature is composed of many short bands of clouds running generally east-west and is centered at 42 S latitude. The frame is roughly 24,500 km wide and north is up. (Voyager 2, 11326.04)
