Engineering Parameters For Side Alsep Experiment

NSSDCA ID: PSFP-00251

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1972-08-26 to 1974-08-26

Description

This data set contains engineering parameters and is arranged in columnar form with headings. The following parameters are included: AP--Apollo number; YR--year in 2 digits; DAY--day number (Jan. 1 is day 1); HRMN--hours, minutes and milliseconds GMT (time from SIDE frame 0); and LUNCYCL--lunation number starting with 1.0 at sunrise of lunation when the instrument was deployed (where x.0=sunrise, x.25=noon, etc.). The following are listed in telemetry units (see ALSEP SIDE DATA HANDBOOK [TRF B32219] for conversion to engineering units): +5A--5-volt dc power supply for analog circuits; T1--temperature sensor 1 (CCGE temperature sensor); T2--temperature sensor 2; T3--temperature sensor 3; GHV--gauge high voltage (monitor of +4.5 kV); T4--temperature sensor 4; T5--temperature sensor 5; SC--solar cell output; +60--60-volt dc power supply for digital logic; GND--ground (check for noise on ground lines); -5--minus 5-volt dc power supply; -30--minus 30-volt dc power supply; T6--temperature sensor 6; CHV--Channeltron high voltage (monitor of -3.5 V); +MV--+30 mV calibration level for A/D converter; +AD--positive reference voltage for A/D converter; +1C--plus 1-volt dc reference level for A/D converter; -1C--minus 1-volt dc reference level for A/D converter; -12--minus 12-volt dc power supply; -MV--minus 30 mV calibration level for A/D converter; PRD--pre-regulator duty factor (indicator of ALSEP experiment supply voltage); F--flag (X here indicates a data gap).
