Three-Hour Averages of Solar Wind Plasma Parameters (Digitized)

This collection consists of digitized microfilm frames containing listings of the 3-hr averaged plasma parameters: day number and time of day, solar wind speed, the number of spectra used to generate the average, the upper and lower limits of the temperature estimate, the density estimate, the ratio of alpha to proton density, and a parameter that describes the high-energy tail. The 3-hr averaged plasma parameters are from ASCII data set PSFP-00755.

For this digitization effort the NSSDCA scanned the source microfilm collection PSFP-00141 at a resolution of 400 dots per inch and output each frame on the film as one TIFF file. The NSSDCA also combined the TIFF images into a multipage PDF file to facilitate browsing. Both formats are included in this collection.
