This data set consists of a magnetic tape of distant seismic events, believed to be moonquakes, observed with large amplitudes on the short-period components of the PSE. These are called high-frequency teleseismic (HFT) events. Each frame of data on the tape consists of 18 36-bit words. The first 3 words contain timing, synchronization, and error information. The remaining words contain the recorded seismic data. Each seismic data segment contains 10 bits, or a range from 0 to 1023 digital units (DU). Sensor equilibrium data values are near 500 digital units. The tape was written in binary on a PDP-15 computer.
