Solar X-ray Plots on Microfilm

NSSDCA ID: SOXR-00068

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1967-07-29 to 1968-07-16

Description

This collection, provided by the principal investigator, consists of plots of solar X-ray fluxes vs. time on 35-mm microfilm. The abscissas of the plots are scaled in hours and minutes of universal time, and the ordinates are logarithmically scaled in flux units of ergs/(sq cm-s). Data for the 0.05-0.3 nm, 0.1-0.8 nm, 0.8-2 nm, and 4.4-6 nm passbands are given. Significant data gaps (about 30 minutes long) occurred during each orbit when the Earth occulted the Sun. Data from collection SOXR-00029 were used to generate these plots.
