Ion Chamber Pulse Rate Tapes(64-054A-20B) Reformatted as Standard Tape Data Set

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1964-09-05 to 1967-12-06

This data set, which was generated at NSSDC on seven 7-track, 800-bpi, IBM 7094, binary magnetic tapes in a standard tape format, consists of the 10-s averaged ionization chamber count rate data in experimenter-supplied data set 64-054A-20B. Each tape is made up of an arbitrary number of records and covers an arbitrary amount of time. The data include the start time of the average in milliseconds of the day, the actual duration of the average (which may be shorter than 10 s because of noise filtering), the number of voltage ramps in the average, and whether the average is based on unfiltered ramps, filtered ramps, clock pulses, or analog words, and the averaged pulse rate in normalized pulses per second. All the records have been ordered by start time of the record, and considerable overlap may exist in the time covered by consecutive records.
