Multi-Coordinate Ephemeris on CD-ROM

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1977-10-22 to 1987-09-26

This data set contains ISEE 1 orbit and attitude information at 1-minute intervals for the period from launch until re-entry of the spacecraft. Satellite position in several coordinate systems, speed, spin axis orientation, and spin rate are given, plus separation between ISEE 1 and ISEE 2. Orbit elements, position of the sun and the moon, GSE-to-GSM and GEI-to-GSE transformation matrices, model magnetic field, L parameter, satellite-earth-sun angle, and satellite-earth-moon angle are also included. The data are as close as possible to the original MCE data that were distributed to the project by GSFC. This data set was submitted to NSSDC on write-once CD-ROMs, which also included numerous files of SUN unix and VAX VMS programs useful in reading and manipulating the data files. The CD-ROM contains a volume description file in Standard Formatted Data Unit (SFDU) format, a Readme file, an Errata file, and a list of times covered by each data file, in addition to the data files.
