The "High Source Density Bins" file was created for point sources in certain regions of the sky. In the regions of the sky, particularly near the galactic plane and small regions in Orion, Ophiuchus, and the LMC, the density of IR sources exceeds the resolving capability of the instrument. A special processing was done for the point sources in these regions. For more information on this data set, see "IRAS Catalogs and Atlases Explanatory Supplement," edited by C.
