This set of brightness temperatures is available on binary magnetic tapes. These tapes, also referred to as Nimbus Meteorological Radiation Tapes (NMRT-THIR), are produced on an IBM 360 computer and contain one orbit of data per file. The first record of each file contains documentation and information describing the orbit. Subsequent records contain brightness temperatures that are measured at 6.7 micrometers with a ground resolution of 22.5 km. There are also locations and time of each observation.
