This data set consists of Archival Tracking Data Files (ATDF) for Pioneer 10 and 11 radio metric data from NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN). Radio metric data are received originally in the form of Intermediate Data Record (IDR) tapes, which are then processed into ATDFs. These archival files include angles, doppler and range (S-, X-, and L-band), differenced range (S, X, L) versus integrated doppler, programmed frequency data, pseudo-residuals, and validation data. ATDFs contain data for a single spacecraft, for one or more ground receiving stations, and for one or more tracking passes or days. Each ATDF physical record is 2016 32-bit words in length and consists of 28 72-word (2304-bit) logical records. The ATDF records are arranged in sequences of file identifications records (one only), transponder logical records (one only), tracking data logical records in time order, and software/hardware end-of-file marks. Bits lengths of data fields are variable and cross word boundaries. Further details of ATDF content and format are given in the accompanying hard-copy document, "DSN Tracking System Interfaces, Archival Tracking Data File Interface, TRK-2-25."
