Reduced Mercury Occultation Data

NSSDCA ID: PSPA-00311

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1974-03-29 to 1974-03-29

Description

This data set is contained on magnetic tape supplied by the principal investigator. The tape were generated on a Univac 1108 computer and were prepared by sampling the analog spacecraft signal and time from analog-recorded tapes. The sample rate is 160,000 samples/s for both S-band and X-band. The data on the tape are a digital representation of recorded signals received from the spacecraft, the time of reception (UTC), and header information. These reduced data contain only the data from the Mercury occultation.
