This data set contains one digital map of a Venus gravity model derived from PVO Doppler data and one digital map of topography smoothed to the same scale as the gravity map. The maps cover 2/3 of the surface of Venus, from 30 degrees south latitude to 60 degrees north latitude. The gravity and topography are represented as equivalent surface mass distributions. The gravity and topography data are each contained in a separate file in ASCII format with 3 header lines followed by a raster scan of the map. The gravity model was derived from the Doppler data using Kalman filtering and a linear inversion as described in Reasenberg and Goldberg, J.G.R., 97, 14681 (B41659-000A). The data are available in DOS format on 5.25 inch and 3.5 inch disks and in Macintosh format on 3.5 inch disks.
