These experimenter-supplied data from the Plasma Wave Instrument on ISEE-1 consist of the outputs of the Electric (20 channels from 5.6 Hz to 311 kHz) and Magnetic (14 channels from 5.6 Hz to 10 kHz) Spectrum Analyzers, and the Sweep Frequency Receiver (32 steps from 100 Hz to 400 kHz) as well as the Rapid Sample data, spacecraft position and spin period, flags indicating antenna selection, frequency step, wideband receiver mode and range, glitches and data quality parameters. The outputs of the receivers are voltages proportional to the logarithm of the field strength or signal strength. The time resolution of the spectrum analyzers is one spectrum per second in low bit rate and four spectra per second in high bit rate. The Sweep Frequency Receiver provides one spectrum every 32 seconds. The data were provided on a set of seven 12" Optimem WORM platters, with SFDU labels, for the time intervals 10/22/77 to 12/31/80, 10/15/82 to 12/25/83, and 01/01/86 to 07/15/86. Data for the other intervals are contained on CD-ROM Write-Once media. Calibration values for converting the receiver outputs to geophysical quantities are to be archived separately.
