Mission Name: Mariner 5
Principal Investigator:Dr. Arvydas J. Kliore

Description

The objectives of this experiment were to determine Venusian atmospheric and ionospheric refractivity by measuring the magnitude of the phase path increase, Doppler shift, and the refractive defocusing attenuation of the S-band spacecraft carrier signal (2300 MHz).
