NSSDCA ID: 1968-014A-07
Mission Name: OGO 5This experiment was designed to measure the differential energy spectrum of protons and electrons over the range 5 eV to 100 keV in the earth's magnetosphere and its environment. The experiment was also to measure trapped alpha particles over the range 0.4 to 200 MeV. The detector was an electrostatatic analyzer using Bendix channeltron electron multipliers. The experiment failed March 12, 1968, 9 days after launch.
