Celestial IR Measurements

NSSDCA ID: 1971-089A-02

Mission Name: S71-2
Principal Investigator:Mr. W. Lantier

Description

This experiment was a 16-channel infrared scanner. A primary technological goal of the experiment was the testing of a closed-loop radiator/pump system. The scientific goal was the measurement of the flux of infrared point sources on the celestial sphere. The results were made into a catalog giving the locations of the sources in right ascension and declination, and the sources' IR intensities.
