Description

The interferometer spectrometer imager is designed to obtain multispectral images of the lunar surface. The device comprises a Sagnac interferometer, a Fourier transform lens, and a cylindrical lens which projects one axis of the input onto an array of CCDs. The spectrometer covers wavelengths from 0.48 to 0.96 micrometers with a resolution of 200 m and a swath width of 25.6 km.
