Cosmos 48

Cosmos 48 was a first generation, low resolution Soviet photo surveillance satellite launched from Baikonur aboard a Vostok rocket. Its film capsule was recovered after 6 days. Its mission was partially completed. It returned early due to failure of the spacecraft thermoregulation systems and the internal temperature rose to 43 degrees C.
