Description

Cosmos 248 was a Soviet military anti-satellite (ASAT) target launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome aboard a Tsyklon rocket. It was intercepted repeatedly by Cosmos 249 on 20 October; and destroyed by Cosmos 252 on 1 November.
